The New Schools Under Construction in Keswick, Edmonton
Both Catholic and Public K-9 schools are under construction and scheduled to open in Keswick in 2022. The Catholic School will be located right in Keswick Landing, with the public school just down Hiller road!
The two schools will be connected to each other and the rest of the community by a network of trails, as well as roads, making it easy to get to school no matter your method of transportation.
The schools are scheduled to be ready for the 2022-2023 school year, and should accommodate a total of nearly 2,000 students.
Keswick Public School (Keswick West Park)
The Keswick public school site is located on the west side of Keswick, on 182 St SW. It will connect the neighborhoods of Keswick via shared-use paths.
The Keswick public school park site (Keswick West Park) will initially include a ball diamond with an 84m radius and a shale infield, a U11 soccer field, a U7 soccer field, and two U5 soccer fields. The grounds surrounding the school include naturalized landscaping, with plenty of trees, and there is an existing pond just east of the school. The Keswick West Park also includes placeholders for possible future developments, such as a playground, splash pad, and outdoor rink.
Keswick Catholic School (Keswick East Park)
The Keswick Catholic School is located in the eastern part of the Keswick neighborhood, on Keswick Drive SW (that’s right in Keswick Landing!) Just think – your kids could be riding their bike or taking a short walk to get to school. School pick ups and drop offs are equally easy with the school just off of the community entrance, Keswick Gate.
The Keswick Catholic School park (Keswick East Park) will include an 84m radius ball diamond, a U11 soccer field, a U7 soccer field, a U5 soccer field, and seating area. The Keswick East Park incorporates naturalized landscaping and features a sliding hill that families will love to spend time at in the winter months! The Keswick East Park also includes placeholders for future development, which could include a gazebo/picnic area, community garden, and long jump pits.
